Vale Road Post Office
On the corner of Vale Road and London Road, stands Post Office Square. The old Vale Royal post office was opened in 1896. The closure and subsequent redevelopment of Post Office Square took place c.2000.

Kelly’s 1914 directory, reveals the garage sign crossing Vale Road, belonged to Martin Winser and Co Ltd at number 43. Next-door but one, at 37-39, was Alexander Hotel. At the other end of the road, number 1, was occupied by umbrella maker, Mrs J C Wray.
